Description
We’re always hunting for new origins and farms we can work with, and that can often lead us to wonderful coffees and new connections with good people, even if sometimes only in the short-term. This is one such moment, through some coffee friends in Uganda we gladly bring to you this amazing speciality Arabica coffee from one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Although not specifically direct trade it is nonetheless a great traceable coffee supporting good people and projects. For now this is a guest coffee.
Mbata is high up in the foothills of the Rwenzoris, with the hub of the community sitting at 1700 metres above sea level, and many of the farmers live and grow their coffee well above this height, having farms of typically 1 & 2 acres.
