Cameroon Oku

We have sourced this fantastic coffee through our friend Matti, who works as our in-country agent in Cameroon. Matti brought together a group of micro-scale coffee farmers from the Boyo region located in the Northwest of Cameroon, and has consistently provided our exceptional Cameroon Boyo coffee.

For the first time he has managed to source us a fantastic guest coffee and needless to say that we are big fans of it. 

In north-west Cameroon, you’ll find the scenic Oku Valley, named for the tribes that live in the region.  The high altitude and arable slopes of Mount Kilum (also known as Mount Oku) provide great conditions for various crops including coffee.  The nearby Lake Oku gives fresh water packed with nutrients.

The coffee itself is fully washed, adding to the cleanliness of the cupping, and dried on raised beds in the shade of the forest’s trees, bringing a beautiful fusion of Blackberry and Cocoa.
