There is something very satisfying in producing the perfect roast, and as coffee lovers ourselves it’s also just fun getting creative and experimenting with new roasts and blends, then cupping to discover intricate flavours.
We have a fabulous little roastery tucked away in Staverton, just between Cheltenham and Gloucester where we store and roast coffee (as well as all the other coffee essentials we supply).Â
We’re transparent about who we are and what we do from farm to cup so that includes our roastery. For customers new and old there’s always an open invite to come and see what we do.Â

We serve so many wonderful customers locally, and across the UK committed to direct trade, quality and customer service.

If you’re local you can ‘click & collect’ your coffee through our website. You’ll automatically get an email once we have packed and prepared your order for collection, and then you’ll be welcome to come to the roastery Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.Â
You can also now bring your own container (zero waste) to collect your coffee, but please make sure you email in advance and/or make a note on your online order as we only roast and store small batches to keep it as fresh as possible.

So interesting! Ethical Addictions is unique among small roasteries in that they form a close relationship with each one of their growers and work together to produce the best quality coffee with maximum transparency. This tour, led by their founder and director, Ian, provides a great insight into the whole process from coffee bush to roasted bean - all conducted in such a friendly and informative manner (delicious coffee and cakes supplied!), in their state-of-the-art premises on the outskirts of Cheltenham. A thoroughly interesting and worthwhile tour of a company that cares.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Highly recommended - Coffee Tasting & Tour Three of us recently attended the coffee tasting tour. Cannot recommend the experience enough. Ian and Hudson were both very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was great to learn about EA's origins, global partnerships, and work within local communities, as well as experiencing the full coffee process. Thanks a lot for the experience.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Roastery tour and coffee tasting/cupping experience We did the Roastery tour and cupping experience the guys offer and it genuinely was such an amazing experience. Not only did we get a Roastery tour, coffee and nibbles on entry, and the tasting/cupping experience, we also were treated to a live demonstration of a roast. Ian went through an entire roast start to finish, talking us through what they are looking for, showing us the beans change and talking through how the roaster works. We were stood at the back so struggled to see a lot of the actual equipment, so Josh took us across to the other roaster to show us what they see on the screens answered any questions. And the best part, we all got to take a bag of coffee away. Could not recommend it enoughPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Outstanding experience if you want to know more about coffee. Fantastic tour by Ian and Josh whose passion for coffee and doing business a better way shone through. I would highly recommend if you want to know more about where coffee comes from, how it gets to your mug and sample some different flavours.
